I heard the Queen and King Rooms sold out at Courtyard and Main Lodge, is that true?

Yes, that’s correct!  We are pleased that these rooms were booked faster than expected – everyone is excited and looking forward to our 2011 MDGA/MDLGA hosting event.

 

Are there additional rooms at Main Lodge?

Yes, we have Deluxe King rooms at Main Lodge and also have plenty of villas surrounding the resort and golf courses.  Please refer to the Reservation Icon on our 2011 MDGA website for more information.

 

 What is the difference between Main Lodge and Courtyard rooms?

The Main Lodge rooms are located in the Lodge area directly above the lobby and conference areas. They feature indoor access to the rooms as well as larger bathrooms. Courtyard rooms are located in the adjacent building to the Main Lodge. They have outdoor access.

 

 What are villas?

Villas are like Townhouse or Condo units, and have 1-2-3 bedrooms in each. They feature quaint fireplaces, a living room, separate bathrooms, gas grill, deck, and a kitchen (that has dishes, silverware, coffee maker, toaster, pots & pans and microwave).  Please refer to the Accommodations Icon on 2011 MDGA website for more information.

 

What is a Resort Amenity Fee?

Can you give me the cost of staying in a villa?

Please refer to the Accommodations Icon for an explanation of cost options for a group of golfers and family, etc.

 

How close are the North, South and East Golf Courses from the

             Resort & Villas?

Can we reserve all villas close to the North and South for golfers, as              well as East for seniors and Ladies?

This will be based on availability of units and type of units requested by the golfers.

 

 

What is the cost for tournament golf entry on 18 holes at North and

             South?

What is the cost for tournament golf entry on 9 holes at East?

What about golfing on Monday?

What about Sunday golfing?

We have negotiated a special rate for golfing at the beautiful and challenging General golf course.  It costs $63 (value $155) includes green fee & cart.  Please refer to the Registration Icon on 2011 MDGA website for more information or go to MDGA1947.ORG for Registration.

What amenities does the resort have?

Shuttle service

This offers a ride between downtown and the Resort.  A daily complementary shuttle into Galena departs from the Main Lodge at 11 am and returns to the Main Lodge at 3 pm.

 

What about shuttle transportation between courses and Resort?  

Shuttles on the property are complementary as well, based upon availability at time of request. We will give you an update in the Summer of 2011.

 

Shopping (past downtown)

·      Wal-Mart Just off of Hwy. 20 in Galena ~ beyond Main Street

·      Piggly Wiggly is located just beyond Main Street on Hwy. 20 for grocery shopping as well.

·      Target and other shopping are located in Dubuque, Iowa ~ approximately      35-40 minute drive

Do you have VP at the Resort? 

We will contact the VRS carrier to setup the equipmentThere will be VP equipment in our Boardroom on the lower level.  Details to follow-up in the Summer of 2011.

 

No personal boats or jet ski's are allowed at the Resort because of a

             private lake owned by the home association.  

You do however get 2 hours complimentary per day of paddle boats and canoes.  Also, there are pontoon rentals at the marina.

 

Rental fishing poles and pontoons

You can rent fishing equipment for $10/day and a pontoon for $50/50  minutes. Fishing licenses are required & can be obtained through the Eagle Ridge web site. The direct link to obtain a license is https://www3.wildlifelicense.com/il/start.php

 

How close is a Hospital or Medical Center?

The Midwest Medical Center and Stauss Hospital are located near              downtown Galena.

 

How far to hotels and motels near Resort? 

      About 7 miles to downtown Galena or beyond Main Street.

 

How do I get there and/or fly to the regional airport?

Dress policy for golf courses?

Fabric pants are required (khaki or linen), Blue Jeans and cut-offs are not permitted on the course. Also, collared shirts must be worn.
